 SAMMYJ ,Isolation is nothing new for those of us who live and work in the country , In recent years we have given up hope of being properly being represented , We don't even write letters to our own papers anymore.

We want our ABC to be the best, but decades of drivel drive us nuts and we are happy to have SKY News to give us a decent rest from the relentless patronising and presumption that is the city  telling us about our environment and what it needs ,
Many Melbourne 774 radio presenters/producers over the last few decades have just played with us, and it stinks
A few of us went to Torquay last election to remind the sea changers that they had over 400 shiny arses in the Shire who wouldn't do a thing to keep some credibility in their West . Epstein refused to consider coming to Corangamite proper to get to know how people really feel about the numbers of smart arses running the Country - or trying to .
What a relief this week to hear this mans work and suddenly find some sanity about the wannabes and what they are really up to,

The Andrews Government are so outta control they have decided to set up another Taj Mahal in sea change country at Torquay to make authoritative statements about the THE GREAT OCEAN ROAD .ALL THESE HIERARCHICAL STRUCTURES DO NOT WORK except to create jobs for the compliant.
The SURFCOAST SHIRE and the current sitting Member didn't stop the people of EAST Torquay being forcibly being removed for their house in the middle of the night in East Torquay recently. This exceptional incompetence in planning is not unusual . Wasting public money continuously.

I mean HOW can anyone justify having so many people controlling the items put to air for so long . Robin Williams ( at least 4 decades) , who is not even a scientist ,still controls science agenda and it shows (All the gigs given to Tim Flannery for eg )I can't listen even to most RN anymore -- its so predictably reactionary and controlled ,
Geraldine Dougue controls an agenda she doesn't even believe in. Surely its that same old underhand ABC cynicism that explains their widespread inability to excite us AND OUR CHILDREN about anything long term ( like history and literature can too)
So why ae so many intelligent people uncritical ABC family ?
Ellul was right in saying that people don't love science ; they love being stimulated by their own scientific fantasies. The ABC audience are so out outta touch that they can't spot the enormously high degree of scientific illiteracy around us .

Helping your mates out
